Stop Averaging the Two 99s

A banner that says "up to 99%" is doing three jobs at once and none of them well. It might be a slot at its loudest certified config. It might be an original at perfect play. It might be a live table after a cashback that is not in the same sentence. Effective RTP is the refusal to let those jobs share a cell.

Write this once and keep it:

effective RTP = 1 - (1 - base RTP) x (1 - rakeback rate)

99.44% base, 60% of the edge returned: 1 - 0.0056 x 0.40 = 99.776%. The site will print 99.78%. An independent count of the same rules may start at 99.3943% and finish at 99.76%. Those are two answers to two questions. Average them and you have invented a third number nobody measured.

Three counterfeit 99s

The config 99. A studio publishes 96.5% max and ships 94% to half the casinos. Live blackjack does the same trick when a roundup quotes a generic 99.29% while the stream in the screenshot is 6:5.

The coupon 99. Weekly loss-back at 10%, paid as bonus, 20x to clear. That is not 10% of the edge. It is a delayed voucher. Put it in a different column.

The blended 99. Main bet 99.44%, but a third of the chips sit on a 95.90% pair wager. Your session is not 99.44%. It is a weighted mix. The main-bet figure remains true. It stopped describing what you played.

The four lines that replace a slogan

  1. Certified main-bet RTP, with the date it was read from the client.
  2. Independently priced RTP of those exact rules, if someone counted them.
  3. Rakeback rate, and whether the credit is cash.
  4. Named side-bet RTPs. If missing, say missing.

https://duel-5.com/blackjack is built as those four lines for one streamed shoe. Disclosed 99.44%. Priced 99.3943%. Instant 60% as cash. After the cut: 99.78% and 99.76%. Twin Shot 95.90%, Three Up 96.30%. Rakeback touches the extras and still leaves them near 98.4% and 98.5%. The fights stay on the page. Nothing is smoothed.

If a review cannot show the sheet it used, the percentage is a caption. Players do not need another "best RTP" list. They need a formula they can break on purpose, then refuse to break.
